The sinister shade pierced through the blue skies and descended unto the crowded street.
I looked on through the shop window in stunned bewilderment as the cloud ripped through the masses, tearing through them. The poor souls didn't even have time to run.
A muffled cacophony of shouts and pained howls filled the outside air while the cloud blitzed through the street; in its wake a frenzy of flayed people flailing, clutching at their skinless bodies dropping to their knees, screaming.
Panic setting in, I bounced back from the window, knocking over a display and losing my footing. Crawling, I slipped silently behind the counter and caught my breath.
Terror laden chatter and tears littered the store, with the few people inside very obviously confused and frightened.

The screaming stopped.

I looked to my right at the small group who had now stopped their chatter to look in fright towards the window.
I in turn, peered above the counter where I sat hidden, to witness what this black cloud had wrought. The flayed outside stood and faced us, and began their approach with ferocious fervour.
